Who I am
I am a provisionally licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the Knoxville and Maryville area of Tennessee. I grew up in a small town in Tennessee with two older brothers who taught me love, a mother who fought for me to have better, and a father who taught me compassion and sacrifice. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Maryville College and continued on to successfully complete my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am all Vols all day, and naturally had to move back home where others bleed orange just like me. I currently live with my husband and our furbabies, Cash and Luna.
how I work
I am a very passionate person, and my number one priority is to help you find a way to wake up happy every day. I truly believe you deserve my unconditional care and support. I believe you have the power to take hold of your life and make it everything you want it to be. I never want you to feel alone or lost in counseling, and I will be beside you every step of the way.
Who I am as a couples counselor
I am fully trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and am actively seeking certification within. As your couples therapist, I will help you figure out where it all went wrong and how to make the fighting stop. Relationships in real life aren’t what the movies make it seem. It takes a dedication to one another and hard work. I will be there every step of the way to support you in reaching for each other even though it's hard. Together, we will explore the negative cycles you find yourselves in, and work towards creating a lasting change.
who I am as an individual counselor
As your individual therapist, I will help guide you to living your best life. I never want you to feel alone, and together we will explore the areas of your life that you desire to change for the better. I believe healing begins with having an awareness of why you hurt, why it all matters. From there, we will help you find ways to cope while you learn to let go and be free.
